Fancy words? Any senior in high school should have that statement drilled into their heads.

In any event, I am on your side. In my opinion we are safer, I just can't prove it because it is an opinion.

I feel that we have a stronger military now (combat tested). I feel that offense wins wars. I feel that terrorists now know that we are not going to take this laying down. BUT I can not say for sure that the military is actually stronger because I am not the one qualified to check military strength, offense may have won wars in the past, but who is to say that is how we will win the next one. Terrorists may be running scared, or they may be taking their time and plotting something HUGE.

Furthermore, I hope those in charge don't think that we are safer. Feelling safe seems like it is one short leap to complacency which I think both sides can agree is dangerous.

Otherwise seemingly intelligent free thinkers; lead to slaughter just like the sheep in that stadium. Sad. Predictable, but sad.

Thank God McCain hit a homerun with his VP pick. A class lady; a solid American woman.

The community organizer with zero executive experience other than running a terror sympathizing board and having friends in low places, has just lost by a landslide. It's over - somebody tell His Holiness to come down from on high.

    Happy times!

He delievers word that others have written for him quite well, I'll give him that, and people are looking for a breath of fresh air and hope, that's fine, but he is dead wrong on every issue as far as I can tell. No wonder socialists around the world, Oprah, and the Hollyweird elite love him and I do not.

There wasn't any "yellow cake Uranium" and Al-queda operatives never met with Saddam's people.

The only "bad intelligence" was from the minority of people that conveyed to the administration there was WMD. A great number of people in the field indicated there wasn't any evidence of WMD. What was Bush's response to this? The evocative statement, "Do you want you're evidence to be in the form of a mushroom cloud?"; outing Valery Plane; deriding Scott Ritter's conclusions; and more lies...

The misstatements and lies are now well documented. It baffles me, after all that has been reported, you would ostensibly believe there wasn't any prevarication by our Commander in Chief.

Oh, I know what the answer is: It is only the liberal media that reports this.

    It must be a conspiracy.
Last time I checked, Willie was POTUS during Operation Southern Watch....you know, when we ran Combat Missions in/around Iraq due to everyone thinking he was up to no good and that he had WMD..... We were keeping him in check..... But, W. opted to do more......

Hell, I even posted on here, all the folks (both HOR/Senate plus all the folks World wide) that approved military action in 03......and truly thought he had WMD because of the Intel they had at the time....

Are you saying that all those folks were too stupid to do their own research and think that he didn't have the stuff there......that he didn't transfer the stuff to other countries....and that we didn't find stuff there....??

Ritter....? Are you kidding me..... All his info since DS1 is suspect at best....and it all depended on what side of the fence he was/is playing as to believe him.....

    Thanks.....

I would have answered earlier but I was in the Middle of Kansas looking for an AWOL......

I did get to listen to XM all day and hear all the non-sense that the Libs are saying about the VP pic....... They should be ashamed of themselves....

If we (Repubs) said have the crap they have spewed about Biden....they would be howling at the moon for our heads.......

It is really hard to say that we are "safer" or "stronger" because those are opinions, just like it is hard to say we are "weaker" or "less safe."

One can argue that we are less safe because the military is stretched thin, but on the other hand, the military has combat experience so we are more safe.
Exactly my point. Thank you. The marker shouldnt be that we havent been attacked yet. It is safe to say that our image in foreign eyes is diminishing (see comments from Turkey, the stubbornness of Iran, the aggression of Russia...) It takes time. They started planning for the 9/11 attacks in the mid 90s. It actually bothers me more that we have yet to be hit yet. We have a northern border that is the longest common border in the world and yet has more holes than some of the folks in this forums drawers! We have a border patrol that is a joke, with retention rates ridiculously low, and a Homeland Security that is more reactive than proactive. I am not saying that Obama nor McCain are the ones that will fix it, I am merely stating that George Bush cant and shouldnt take credit for us not being attacked, yet....

While I mentioned Plane and Ritter, there is so much more that goes to the lies and mistatements given to the US public. However, you have reduced this to calling me a liar. There is nothing I can say or do to change your opinion so I will give up.
Check the records on what he lied about.....it had nothing to do with her being employed by the CIA, it was about WHEN he knew and who told him. None of which led back to the administration.

Not calling you a liar personally, those lies have been said so many times they are now taken as fact, as evidenced by you believing them.

Your right, I'll stick with an AR-15, only because it looks cool. From what I understand, stuff jams a lot, and the AK has great reliability. So HA take that Osama.
