Fermi Paradox - Where is ET?

There was a thread here talking about recent physics experiments, and we got to talking about various things and eventually it led to a discussion of why we haven't found signs of extraterrestrial life. This is also know as the Fermi Paradox, which states-

The apparent size and age of the universe suggest that many technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilizations ought to exist.
However, this hypothesis seems inconsistent with the lack of observational evidence to support it.

So, I'm bored and wondered what anyone else thinks on this subject.

It's very simple. No matter how advanced we may THINK our technology is, we're actually quite ignorant of science.

I believe we have just barely scratched the tip of technology.

Why haven't we found ETs? Simple. We don't have the technology to reach them yet. We will one day.

Saying that they don't exist just because we've never found proof of them here in this backwoods of the Milky Way Galaxy is ridiculous.

That's like telling someone who was born and raised in a tribe in heart of a jungle that computers and cell phones don't exist. You can't expect them to know of such things when they are so far from civillization.

And such it is with our tiny little planet.
