I realized I made a mistake on FUTA and had to file an amended 940. No big deal...until I went to find the friggin address. On the page with the payment voucher that I printed out from the IRS website it does not give you the address. It says, "Mail your 2010 Form 940, your payment, and Form 940-V in the envelope that came with your 2010 Form 940 instruction booklet. If you do not have that envelope, use the table in the instructions to find the mailing address."

WHY THE PHOOOOK can they not just print the address in the above PHOOOOKING paragraph??????? I had already trashed the booklet. I could not find the address online. I came within a hairs breath of saying to hell with it and waiting for them to notice and send me a nastygram... then I remembered their PHOOOOOKING fines & penalties that go beyond cruel and unusual... calmed down a bit and looked to see if just maybe the address for the IRS on my label maker was the right one. Searched some more and finally with the right combination of terms ended up at the right place to confirm I had the right address.... only difference is mine printed out this... INFERNAL Revenue Service.

Phoookem if they have a problem with it. I wish every single person that worked would have to file quarterly and fill out the PHOOOOOKING paperwork, write the PHOOOOOOKING check to the bastards instead of having it done painlessly with payroll deduction. If everyone had to do their own, we wouldn't be in this PHOOOOOOKING mess the DAMNED POLITICIANS have gotten this country in.

    I'm done.

Got it done prior to posting rant.

Folks just act like sheep anymore. Painless payroll deductions give the gov free rein. No accountability. Sure we can try to vote them out of office. Trouble with that is the leaches on the receiving end of those freebies seem to be greater than those of us who have the lifeblood sucked out of us supporting them... against our will.

Probably the biggest stack of gov paperwork was not an audit(avoid those) but was the piles of paperwork for immigration to get my wife over here. It took close to 9 months to process... and then about a year to complete to get her permanent res & greencard and several thousands of $$$. It'd been easier & cheaper to have her come through Mexico.

Do your history on the IRS and 16th Amendment. Google it. Read different views on it even judgments on it.
Follow how it came about and for what purpose. Don't forget to look into the Federal Reserve "Key Roll" Then come back and lets talk about how gullible the american people are.

            Where do you stand?

I believe the 16th was not properly ratified. Unfortunately what I believe has sent people to prison for refusing to pay taxes.

If people really knew how many hidden taxes they paid(a lot know, but deny it) there just might be enough taxpayers to successfully revolt.

Are you aware that corporate taxes are passed on to the consumer. Hence corps don't pay taxes, they are added to the cost of doing business. In fact all business taxes are or should be passed on to the consumer.

Have you looked into the Fair Tax? I like it because it is actually fair... for a tax. It gets rid of all the hidden taxes. It gets rid of having to file taxes every year. It would get rid of a lot of IRS people and hopefully rein in the friggin' out of control goverment spending. You know, make them(the gov) accountable again.

WorldNetDaily?.. Hrmmmmm... I'm sure Alex Jones has something to say on the subject, as well.

I would say any debate on the legality of the federal income tax is academic - if it were somehow found to be unconstitutional, I'm pretty sure we'd see the fastest adoption of an amendment in U.S history.

Exactly, income taxes aren't going anywhere. There would be overwhelming support from both the states and congress to get that done immediately.

Personally, I think we should eliminate all deductions for people who have kids. Not sure why people who are putting more of a drain on the system have to pay less into it.

Then again, that is just the POV from someone who chooses not to have kids :P

The flat tax. Not really sure how that would work. Sure the poor would be paying more into it, but I don't think that is going to make up for the rich contributing less. I know some countries have had some success with it, but they seem to be vastly different economies than the US.

As a whole, I really don't have a problem with the payroll taxes I pay. I wish they would spend the money better (that is a different debate), but taxes aren't crushing me and I understand they are vital to our current way of life.

Social security and medicare on the other hand.........

Here's the poem about taxes...At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.

                      Source:

Be sure to read all the way to the end!

                      Tax his land,
                      Tax his bed,
                      Tax the table
                      At which he's fed.

                      Tax his tractor,
                      Tax his mule,
                      Teach him taxes
                      Are the rule.

                      Tax his work,
                      Tax his pay,
                      He works for peanuts
                      Anyway!

                      Tax his cow,
                      Tax his goat,
                      Tax his pants,
                      Tax his coat.

                      Tax his ties,
                      Tax his shirt,
                      Tax his work,
                      Tax his dirt.

                      Tax his tobacco,
                      Tax his drink,
                      Tax him if he
                      Tries to think.

                      Tax his cigars,
                      Tax his beers,
                      If he cries
                      Tax his tears.

                      Tax his car,
                      Tax his gas,
                      Find other ways
                      To tax his ***.

                      Tax all he has
                      Then let him know
                      That you won't be done
                      Till he has no dough.

                      When he screams and hollers,
                      Then tax him some more,
                      Tax him till
                      He's good and sore.

                      Then tax his coffin,
                      Tax his grave,
                      Tax the sod in
                      Which he's laid.

                      Put these words
                      upon his tomb,
' Taxes drove me to my doom...'

                      When he's gone,
                      Do not relax,
                      Its time to apply
                      The inheritance tax.
