    Wanted: Vests

    Anyone have vests for sale... or happen to have an old one they would just give away?
    I'm looking for (Non-Zylon) Ballistic level IIIA, within the past 5 years. But I'll consider anything. Wanted for Explorer work.
    I'm female, 5'6", medium build. Will send measurements via PM.

    Hey everybody! I'm in st. louis county, live in the second precinct. I am an explorer badly in need of a bulletproof vest. I currently do ride-alongs with several departments, and have been in some pretty scary situations. At this point, I don't feel very comfortable going out without a vest; however, none of the departments that I ride with offer one while on ride-alongs. Due to my virtually non-existent financial resources, I cannot afford much. Does anyone know where I can find a cheap vest that I can trust? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank's!

      Don't have any extra vests....but I'll take your measurements anyway...

            If the only way you can go is with a cheap (possibly expired or outdated) vest, which is admittedly better than nothing, check out this site:

            They sell police turn-ins and wrong-size vests for a reasonable price.

              Never trust a used vest. NEVER.
