    What are some things I can do when just at home watching TV to improve my flexibility?

    Sit on the floor and do sit and reach. Do the V leg stretch as well seated. Use a towel around your foot/feet to get a little more pull. Do these regularly and they'll help come test time.

      Leave the chips 4 feet from your chair.

          If you want to gain flexibility you have to stretch at least twice a day, morning then night is the easiest. I used to be terribly unflexable however after a few months of stretching twice a day i am doing pretty good. I never used to be able to touch my toes, now i can put my palms on the ground.

            +1, All good suggestions. The only other recommendation I would make is stop watching the TV and go run or lift a little. Oh yeah, and put the chips at least 4 feet from the chair like Prowriter said!

              when you're watching TV, sit approx. 15 or so feet from the TV on the floor. When you stretch, slowly inch closer to the TV. By the time you get up to the television, you will be flexible.

                Stretch..

                Seriously though, the above advice is good. If you want to step up the pace, pick up a copy of AM/PM Yoga. If you skip the meditation, it's 15 minutes morning and night. It looks funny, and you may not want to own up to it to your buddies, but you'll see significant progress inside the week.
