As far as tinnitus, I don’t have an answer, but for the sound level in the cockpit, it doesn’t matter. Flight crews wear headsets or helmets that reduce the sound to safe levels.

    Tinnitus and airborne law enforcement

    Hello all,

Long time viewer, first-time member, and poster here.

I was wondering if any LEO's out there have Tinnitus and work in airborne law enforcement (either helicopter or fixed wing) and how that has affected the Tinnitus (negatively, positively, or unchanged). Also, does anyone know on average how many decibels it is inside a helicopter and fixed wing (bell 206, airbus h125, Cessna)? Also, for those that do, how long have you worked in airborne law enforcement with it?

    Wish you all well,

    1015
