  • How do you keep positive?

LE is certainly a tough job with encounters that would make most of us run and hide under the covers. As with medical I would assume that many in time see it as a job and get accustomed to some things. Do LE have support groups, folks to talk to when the job is getting them down or events are a bit overwhelming. Or is this something that is just not discussed?

How do you stay positive and upbeat when facing the many traumas you see as a part of your job? Not a serious thread, just general discussion and ideas to share that may help others.

My Dep as a phone line where officers can call when they have problems and want to talk about it. We also have a service when a officer is envolved in thraumitasing event and need help ex: after a shooting... Best thing is to not let it in... A good way to let it out is working out...
