  • FL Sheriff's Office Physical Assessment Test?

    This was already posted in the hiring and recruitment area, lots of views, no reply's. So I'll give it a shot over here. Mods feel free to lock or delete the other post.

    Hello every one. I'm a Park Ranger in Ohio. I recently applied to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. I have an interview, psyc, and physical assessment test scheduled. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is on the PAT so I can gear my training toward it for the last month. It sounds like a course to simulate a foot persuit, have to finish in 5 min and some seconds.

    Why don't you just call them and ask?

      yr runnin a obstacle course, climbing those over head rungs,
      climbing ober a 6 ft wall...in a certain time frame...

        HCSO just implemented a new PAT it consists of a 1.5 mile run, a swim, push ups, sit ups, and the old PAT course, I don't know the particular requirements but if you call 813-247-8000 and ask for recruitment they will be more than happy to help you out.

          +1 on above statement. The new Physical Abilities Test consists of:

          1.5 mile run (competitive is 12 minutes)
          max push ups in 1 minute
          max sit ups in 1 minute
          100 yard swim (no time)

          The PAT course is no longer given as per Det. Lewis, Recruiter HCSO (as told to me on 7/26/2007)

            The above is correct.

            1.5 mile run
            push ups and sit sups, 1 min each
            100 yard swim

            That is all.
