  • Stomach cramps

    Hi, I was just wandering if anyone can give me some tips on how to keep my stomach from cramping up....... It usually doesnt start to affect me until i am on the third mile or so.....I run in the mornings, i drink plenty of water always, i never eat before my runs......

    I always eat before running, but I run in the evening about an hour or two after dinner... I don't believe running on a completely empty stomach is a good thing. If you can't re-arrange your schedule, maybe a power-bar before you start your run, or some form of breakfast might help.

      Had the same problem. Eat a banana before running. Get your potassium up. If that isn't enough take a supplement. It works.

        I always thought drinking water and eating fruit was the best. Does anyone know what exactly causes the cramps?
