  • Swat fitness standards

I'm trying to gather some information about SWAT fitness standards/events for various SWAT teams from around the country. My department is trying to develop fitness standards for a part-time, one day a month training SWAT team.

    Any help/information is appreciated.

If preferred, PM me and I can respond via my department email.

    Thanks Again.

You can't generally go wrong with the Stew Smith stuff already posted. Are you looking for team level stuff? Challenges that are fitness only? This may or may not apply well to what you are looking for:

Practical Applied Stress Training (P.A.S.T) for Tactical Law Enforcement

As far as SWAT specific events, bunch of vids from the CT SWAT Challenge, as well as tons of functional fitness training related vids:

As far as specific standards, it seems to vary unit to unit as they often set their own standards. Perhaps the NTOA could be a good resource for specific info regarding standards, or a member here has some direction/site for that.
