What type of load out do you keep in your shotgun? Do you mix it up, Buck shot, slugs etc...

00 buck. I do not believe in varying or staggering rounds. I will have slug readily available and will do a tactical selective load if needed.

Same here. Policy says to keep 00 buckshot (Remington) in the tube, nothing chambered. 5 slugs on a sidesaddle.

Mossy 500 in cruiser ready; magazine full of 000 buck, sidesaddle full of slug.

I have a sock on stock full of extra 000 as well.

My work 870 has a +2 extension and is loaded buck/slug for all six rounds, plus 3 slugs and 3 00 buck in the side saddle. Additionally I have 18 rounds of 00 buck and 18 rounds of slug in my active shooter kit.

It depends on the game. For upland I like 7.5's and for ducks give me Kent Faststeel #2's. Threw in some BB's for the geese and you have a complete day.

Magazine full of Remington Tactical 00 Buck. Six 00 buck in the side saddle. Six Brenneke slugs on the butt stock.

I couldn't agree more about staggering rounds. In fact, my money goes further than Blackdog's -- I think mixing rounds in the sidesaddle is a mistake. Obviously, the results in a gunfight could be disastrous if the wrong round were loaded accidentally.

Staggered loads may seem simplistic under normal conditions, but will be too complex when operating under the diminished mental capacity and tunnel vision that occurs in the fight for your life.

I agree with the "pure" loading of an SG. I had heard during a shotgun specialist course that there was some degree of liability w/ using improper ammo depending on the incident type.
