Has anyone managed to find things like 9mm ammunition for a reasonable price? If so where? Last time I bought anything it was 5.56 and that was cheaper than 9mm around April or March mid when stay at home orders were just starting up. I have about 200-250 rounds of 9mm already, but it'd be nice to get some more without having to pay an arm and a leg.

It's a repeat of what happened after Sandy Hook, but worse.
Wikiarms.com is an aggregate site that updates frequently with who has what in stock, but good luck finding a deal. Even crappy Russian lacquered ammo is going for 70 cents a round.
I learned my lesson after Sandy Hook and started buying a box or two whenever I could. So no worries here if the boogaloo starts in a couple of weeks and some hotheads bring their BS to my neighborhood. I could hold off a Kuban Cossack regiment, at least until air support is mobilized.
Speaking of the boog, now is a good time to take inventory of what you have, and what you may need. Not just guns and ammo- how's the pantry looking? Cans of beef stew are a buck at Dollar General... might want to get a couple of flats before the proles rush out en masse when the SHTF.....

So I keep tabs on the social media for a couple of militia guys in my vicinity, and usually they are non-stop with the memes and postings about the boogaloo, but in the last few days it's nothing but crickets. The silence is unnerving. Is something about to go down and everyone knows it but me?
Both Potus and Oathkeepers are saying January 6 will be a big day. I know there are some Oathkeepers here.. big day, as in how big??

This is an interesting map. Are two independent commonwealths our future?

Interesting map.
From the looks of it, such a breakdown would soon turn the
advantage to red America. Red pretty much has the food and most of the natural resources...and, for the most part...to the extent that blue areas have resources and farming...those are usually those parts of blue states that are solidly red. A bit of emigration here and there and blue areas will lack the people/experience needed to farm and process the natural resources they have.Last edited by merlin436; 12-31-2020, 07:03 PM.

I think many states are similar to IL.
NY is largely red outside of NYC and Buffalo. Hillary Clinton, when she first carpetbagged her way to NYC and the Senate, lost 47 out of 62 NY counties.
MN outside of Minneapolis is much more centrist than socialist.
The breakdown of the US by counties is probably a more accurate representation than a breakdown by states.
I suspect, if the US did fracture, that the end result would bring several new "West Virginia's". Several areas of current states that would say "screw you" to "progressive successionism" and elect to remain with the traditional Union values by declaring themselves as sovereign Unionist states.

I went on a little trip the other week and everyone gave a list of ammo to look out for. All the Bass Pro / Cabela's I stopped at were basically bare of ammo. One had some boxes of "Estate" 00 buck for $28 a box. The only other caliber there was some odd ball stuff I never heard of anyone shooting.
I bought some of that Estate 00 buck shot in the past to have a little fun with at the range on the cheap. At $28 a box it ain't cheap anymore IMO.
But like Rat I've been buying a box or two at a time for some time now. Never totaled up the count for each calliber but I'm not too worried, for now about the shortage.

I never bothered because I shoot 95% 9mm and 5.56, the two cheapest loads there are... now I’m wishing I had some components stashed away."I am a Soldier. I fight where I'm told and I win where I fight." -- GEN George S. Patton, Jr.
