Fully aware about the assault ban expiration. If I order a firearm for duty use, no way am I going to pay an FFL tranfer fee. By ordering it on a individual officer purchase department letterhead they can ship it straight to my agency and no background check or other fees are involved.

FFL Transfer Fee? Geez.. I'm glad I live in Georgia... Here, if you go to a gun shop with a permit.. No background check and no fees. No permit and you have a $5 instant background fee.Originally posted by TradArcher

FFL transfers are when your purchase has to get shipped from the seller. The dealer you buy from, ie on the internet, will ship it to a dealer near you. Your local dealer then charges a nominal fee to do the paperwork to show that the firearm/s were transfered to you. These vary from $20-$50. If you see something in your local dealer's shop and buy it from him, the transfer fee is already included in the price and is why you don't see it as a seperate charge. I see DPMS rifles regularly go Tango Uniform in My carbine classes. Followed by Bushmaster they have serious issues with Carrier Keys not Staked to specifications.
CMMG also makes a darn fine rifle. gO TO WWW.AR15.COM AND CHECK THE RIFLES FOR SALE PAGE .
