    I have been experimenting with this stuff for the past few months.

    I think I'm finally getting the hang of it...

    I've gotta say Tim, that looks pretty good. Not usually a fan of this kind of stuff, as it usually comes out looking like a hack job, but it looks like you put time and effort into making it nice.

        Soldering iron or wood burner and patience.

        Looks good. I have been considering trying it on an AR grip just for the hell of it. I have enough of them laying around here.

            Looks like a quality job. From my experience, yes, it does help with grip but there is a fine line between too little and too much texture. My 2 cents...

              What sort of tip did you use on your heating element? I've seen various different types but yours looks nicer than most.
