I picked up a Sig 239 .40 cal from a gun store. It was a rental for the range, no one ever used it. Out the door $450. Never fired, spring is tight, I need to put a few rounds through it to loosen the spring a bit.

Inspect if you know guns, if not take to a gunsmith. You cant tell if its mint till you open it up.

    A good price/buy or no?

Friend/co-worker has a Sig Sauer P226 9mm that he says he bought sometime around 1996 and used while going through the academy. States it's in mint condition and he's trying to get rid of it. (Getting married and needs the money)

He's willing to part with it for $325. Should I make the buy? Any kind of issues with the older sigs? What do ya guys think?
