Does anyone know if the HK416 is out for civilians to buy?? I want to buy an assault rifle pretty soon, but if the HK is out I rather buy that one over the M4 I originally wanted.

It should be on the market under a different name. Be prepared to pay close to $3500. I'd suggest take a look at Patriot Ordinance firearms POF-USA.com. They have piston driven ARs for well under $2000.

I dont really know much about weapons, im similar with the military weapons because I was in the army for 3 yrs, so I really wanted an M4 or the AR something which is the civilian version, but I rather have the new HK cuz its mroe reliable than the M4. I also have a Glock 21 and the blackhawk thigh harness

The civi version of the HK416 is called the HK MR556 and it should be out later this year. The MSRP is rumored to be about $3500 as mentioned.

I know that design changes have been made to the MR556's upper to make it incompatible with other AR lowers.

            Which is kind of sh*tty.

But then again... could it legally be defined as an AR-15?

Yea I heard about that, I saw a video on youtube showing how u can change the configuration of the HK into a lot of different things and I heard the civilian version wasnt going to have that option. I guess once it comes out and if I make with the US Marshals ill get one

Love to. Has anyone seen a SCAR on a shop shelf yet?

Yeah...for $4500. Love the SCAR, but no thanks...I could get three loaded AR-15s for that money. Now, if that had included all the barrels, the 7.62 and 5.56...maybe.

OR you could get like 35 Mosins.

                              But it's a Ruger

Going with low bidder is not always the best plan.
