9mm Sigs, which ones to stay away from?

A guy owes me some money and has offered a new in box 9mm Sig as PM. I don't remember what model it is. It's either a mid or full size. The other alternative is an Uberti 45 revolver new in box. I don't have much use for a revolver.

Soooo, I need to know which 9mm Sigs to stay away from.

Sigs have a popular following, probably easier to turn into cash.

If it's a NIB SIG, it's probably going to be pretty good. Some P250s have had problems with light hammer strikes, but the most recent ones sold seem to have addressed the issue.

There's a lot of older (ex-police) SIG P6s that are on the market after being imported from Germany. Some of these have very heavy trigger pulls and early versions didn't have feed ramps designed for hollowpoint ammunition.

Any real "New In Box" SIG-Sauer pistol should be good to go.

Hard to say. In general, Sig holds good value and will be easy to sell it for cash. But product quality wise, Sig has fall way down compare back to W. German mark product.

This is not another "good old day always better than now" rant. If you check on Sig forum, you will find that Sig has been lower their standard on new production and factory smith job.

How much does your friend owe you and how much you thinking to get it back. If just for $500 or so, there are no bad Sig you need to worry about but if we're talking about 1k, you need to know lot more about the condition and value of the piece before you take that deal.

It's Sig SP2022. Frame made in krautland. Also has Green Tritium Nightsights Front & Rear. Didn't know that until I saw then glow in the safe. COOL LOOKIN'!
