  • Glock 22 w/x300 tac light malfunctions

My dept. issues us our firearms which is a Glock 22 (.40 SW). I was given a surefire x300 tac light as a gift. When shooting the gun with the light, I would have a couple of failure to feeds or extractions.

I shot 100 rounds total with and without the light on the rail. Did not have one malfunction with the light off the gun. With the light on the rail, I would have a malfunction every so often.

A range instructor tried it out while I was at the range and he did not have any issues (shot only 20 rounds).

The magazines I used are both the old ones the dept gave me. But I also have 4 new ones with the #8 follower and 11 coiled spring. Malfunctions happened with both sets.

I dont believe Im limpwristing, and the instructor saw how I shoot and it was fine (web of hand up on beaver tail, nice stance, strong firm grip, etc).

What do you think is the issue?

If shooting Winchester White Box Target/Range ammo that stuff is loaded rather weak. Try a high dollar ammo.

If shooting something else then nevermind.

we use winchester white box 180 grn because we happen to use winchester ranger sxt 180 grn for duty carry. so basically train what we use type of mentality

Here is the other thread. it isn't uncommon with lights on the rail.
