Glock 22 Rattling?

Glock 22.
15 round mag with 1 in the pipe.
With that set up, something rattles.

With 1 in the pipe and 14 rounds in the mag, it doesn't rattle.

Any ideas?

(and no, it doesn't rattle with no mag loaded, and the firing pin safety DOES rattle when tested with trigger depressed and held back on empty)

Having never really looked at a Glock magazine, sap's explanation seems like the only logical possibility; when the mag is fully loaded the follower is sticking down far enough to whack something that it doesn't reach when there are only 14 rounds loaded.

If you load 15 rounds in a magazine and shake it (without inserting it in the weapon), does it rattle?

The magazine doesn't rattle by itself.
It rattles with 15 in the mag on an empty chamber as well as with 1 in the pipe.
It doesn't rattle AT ALL (in or out of the weapon) with 14 in the mag.

I thought for a moment that it was a magazine issue, because it didn't do it at first with all my mags.
But the more I loaded and unloaded each of my 6 mags, eventually it rattled with each of them.

I have one that does the same thing. Its the mag.........as long as it works no biggie.....

Meh, that's how you come to building a gun notorious for it's reliability. Loose tolerances ahoy!

All six thats strange. I have one mag that does that. Drives me nuts. I keep the mag that rattles in my mag pouch. All six is strange. Try tapping the rounds to the back of the mag or get new springs and see if it fixes the problem. As long as it works and doesn't cause malfunctions I wouldn't be overly concerned.

I have the same thing with all 3 of mine. What I found out is after loading all 15 rounds in the mag, I slam it hard on the table or my palm prior to inserting it into the pistol. stopped rattling for me. Its the mag. havent had any problems with them either.
