  • Carrying Duty Gloves

Just wondering how most people carry their duty gloves? I have seen pouches on the net but have already got enough things on the belt without adding an extra pouch.

That actually looks pretty good. How well do they hold them in? Im after any sort of ideas, just prob not looking at a pouch on my bad. ATM i keep mine in the strap on my thigh rig.

      Cargo Pocket

I carry my gloves in my right Cargo Pocket. Luckily, our class C patrol uniforms have cargo pockets on the leg.

Our class A uniform (can also be worn on patrol) does not have the cargo pocket.

Guess which ones I always wear.

My leather Hatch gloves fit perfectly in the cargo pocket and you can't even tell they are there.

I use this http://www.hi-tec.qc.ca/prod.php?lin...type=2&lang=en 99 % of the time. If I expect to need them again shortly, then the back pocket works just fine.

Does anyone know who sells gloves with a hook?

That way you can just attach them to your key holder(if you have one) on your belt.

I don't wear search gloves for a few specific reasons:
                    1. Touching a transient....now that transient is on your gloves...and you put those back in you pocket....ewww grosss
                    2. Now that those gloves are dirty that trainsient fluid will seep into them and onto your hands next time you wear them
                    3. You can get puncture resistant latex gloves they work great...agency doens't have them? ask your local FD for a box I'm sure they have them...

I don't touch people who are leaking fluid. :-)

Fold them in half and put them in the back pocket. If you get something on them you don't want in your pocket, leave them on and use hand sanitizer on them like you would on your hands.

I have a slick little method - but it's not for everyone. I un-snap the front of my belt and slip the gloves together behind the belt. That keeps them nice and flat and easy to pull out when I plan to go hands-on.

I use the Hatch Operator Shorty Gloves, and they fit nicely behind the belt.

Well we don't have a "class B", or maybe we do, just not a C? Mine go in the right side pocket as well.
