Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good pair of safety gloves. I was hoping to get ones that are puncture proof, good for searching and good for weapon control.

    Camelbak Gloves

I know this might sound crazy, but check out Camelbak's new line of gloves for law enforcement and military.

Hatch Street Guard w/ kevlar lining. They've been through a lot and still work and look great. They fairly easy to shoot with, and keep the tweekers needles from poking me.

Oh, and pretty cheap. I think about $30.00.

I would definitely recommend any of the Hatch series with Kevlar. I think they are definitely the best bang for the buck. They have some really good ones with extra protection in the fingertips....and I can still shoot well with my Glock....and thats of prime importance to me. I have a pair of kevlar lined gloves that I use for person searches and then I also have a pair of leather palm/kevlar back gloves that I use for search warrants/entries and any other general utility assignment. If I am going into someones clothes/possessions etc.....I always go with the fulll Kevlar gloves with added puncture resistance in the fingertips.

I browsed through the Camelbak series....I have never seen one in person...but they look to be way too high on prices. I think that may have to do with their military affiliation. Anything that is geared towared the military right now seems to have an inflated price. Go with the Hatch, you won't be disappointed.

I don't know if we all have the same gloves but this is the one I have.

Looks like the X11 is a proprietary cut-resistant material, versus the standard Kevlar.

I have some HATCH Resister RFK 300's with the Kevlar lining. Great gloves!

I used Turtleskin gloves while deployed in the Marines and I use them now. I have used many other types (Hatch,5.11...) and think this gives the best of all worlds. It allows for great dexterity, the trigger finger is leather while the others are gripped and many other advantages. Guess it all depends on the user!
