CB Radio in Cruiser

I am wanting to add a small CB radio to my cruiser. I do not know anything about CB's. All I have been told, is to make sure the antenna is not a "suction-cup or magnetic" because the wind will blow it off the first time you are trying to get somewhere quick.

Does anyone have any ideas on a small CB and a good antenna?

good mag mounts wont blow off

wilson "lil wil" is a great ant. very powerful!! its a magnetic mount, but it's not going anywhere unless you pull it off. it sure wont blow off!! k40 makes a good ant. too, mag mount or not, you have the option.

cobra makes good radios, i have a cobra 29 soundtracker. peaked and tuned to get the most out of it. i have a astatic mic with it as well. its a noise cancelling mic, very crisp and clear. the factory mics sound crappy, pick up background noise and the button wears out over time.

as previously posted, get a wilson magnetic mount...it isnt going to blow off or get torn off by a tree branch. a radio shack or other cheap one will blow off and they wont ground as well either if you are running a linear
