  • 2023 Uniform Trends

For police and other law enforcement officers, the duty uniform has to look almost as good as it functions. In the March/April issue of OFFICER Magazine, we look at some of the uniform trends of 2023.

“Uniforms are not just attire; they represent strength and competence for the law enforcement community,” says Rick Levine, executive director of the Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD). “Uniforms have the power to foster pride, instill trust and facilitate job performance.”

There are many products on the market that help departments achieve a comfortable and functional look while still maintaining a professional appearance. What are the must-have uniform products for departments? What attributes do they look for, and are there any new products in 2023 that achieve their goals? To find out, NAUMD recently spoke with a number of its network members to see what departments are buying, and to learn about new products to watch for.
And after you've checked out this year's uniform trends, tell us what you've been seeing out in the field. What's been the biggest improvement you've made to your uniform in recent years?

How about stab-resistant inserts protecting our backs from politically-motivated brass misusing a weaponized "disciplinary" system.

I used to wear my vest backwards to keep the trauma plate in the middle of my back.

In 37 years, I've never seen a female who looked like the above.

          So... something like this:

"I am a Soldier. I fight where I'm told and I win where I fight." -- GEN George S. Patton, Jr.

"With a brother on my left and a sister on my right, we face…. We face what no one should face. We face, so no one else would face. We are in the face of Death." -- Holli Peet

Toni's father is Jamie McBride. The movie "End of Watch" is based on his career with the LAPD.

Yeah…and she has many “issues”. I wouldn’t work with her nor trust her.
