  • Best radio earpiece

I haven't been happy with any of the standard-issue radio earpieces offered by my department. So I'm looking to purchase my own, and would be interested in some suggestions. My perfect earpiece would have the following features:
    - Rests on the outside of the ear canal (not an earbud).
    - Includes an earloop that's flexible but will hold a shape once molded to the outer ear.
    - Has a coiled wire
    - Will stay put even with aggressive head movement.
    - Standard 3.5mm plug-in

    Open to any suggestions.

Over the years, I used earpieces from Tactical Command Industries, PCL Soundwaves and Earphone Connection. All worked about as well as each other. They usually lasted about 2-1/2 years before something broke, except for the cheapest one - Earphone Connection - which was still going strong at five years when I retired.

So far the Motorola OEM earpiece (RLN4941A) has worked well for me. The humidity doesn't get in the coil like my last one and I found it to be comfortable after a 2 week break-in period. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013QIT45E
