  • galls brand gear

I'm looking to pick up a nylon belt with some accessories, I see that the galls brand is the cheapest on there site and was wondering how there quality is compared to uncle mikes or bianchi. thanks for any info.

It's not the best in the world, it's pretty much the low-end of the nylon gear. It's cheap, it'll work for awhile, but if you're looking at keeping it for awhile, I'd pick up Bianchi.

Stick with a name brand for nylon. Gould & Goodrich, Bianchi, Safariland, Uncle Mikes etc. Galls gear doesn't hold up. My co-workers have problems with their cuffs & batons falling out of the holsters, not good.

I use their multi-purpose gloves and so far they've held up pretty good.
I don't know about the other stuff though.
Well life is too short so love the one ya got cuz ya might get run over or ya might get shot.

Galls Brand Molded Nylon seems to be a factory second or cheap run of Bianchi Accumold, or was, at least. This is molded version, mind you, not that cheap stuff that is completely formless.

I replaced a double cuff case with Galls Brand, and had to look to tell the difference. Swede-like lining, rolled openings, everything.

I think Binachi is now making it under their brand and calling it PatrolTek.

Whatever you get, I wouldn't but it from the Galls site. Other sites have the same products for much cheaper, and just as much variety. I would suggest CopQuest or CopsPlus .

I have ordered items from both sites, and I have not been dissapointed. The shipping is lightning fast, and the prices are better than anywhere else. I suppose ebay is usually cheaper, but it isn't as fast or reliable.

I'm a C/O and I own a Galls Nylon Duty Belt that runs for $24.95, and it holds up great! I love their stuff. Galls leather belts and cuff cases, etc. hold up amazing. But if you are a police officer, you may want something a bit more rugged since you would obviously be carrying more gear than a C/O does. www.galls.com They have everything you need on there including other brands.

I have ordered from copsplus. They are extremely slow I ordered and finally recieved some of my stuff 3 months later. Some stuff they never even sent they keep placing it on back order and extending the date. I requested my money back and they refused I had to hire an attorney to get my money back, they settled out of court but the attorney took about 20% of my money. I will never order from copsplus again, in short they suck.

Check Ebay and buy some good stuff off an officer who has outgrown his gear.

Try ordering from Quartermaster... www.qmuniforms.com GOOD PRICES ON EVERYTHING!!! Copsplus is good too, really cheap but they do sometimes put stuff on back-order for ages without telling you at time of order.

Quartermaster is OK. Their leather gear is Dutyman. Their budget nylon is Bianchi Patroltek, or Dutyman Molded.

I just got a nylon holster for my model 96 from Quartermaster for under $30.00 and it's just as good as the $60.00 Uncle Mikes.

It may BE Uncle Mikes. Quartermaster makes nothing, and sells re-branded "DutyPro" gear. As long as it works, go with what's cheap.

I really like quartermaster (www.qmuniforms.com). I've heard from a local retaliter that the qm brand stuff "law pro" (which is actually dutyman)is "OK." I haven't tried any of it, but I've ordered a number of other products from them and have been really impressed with their customer service. But to be honest if you really want to know what you're buying go to your local police supply store a buy from them. With shipping the online stuff seems to be around the same price as buying locally (at least for me). Best luck
