For those considering purchasing a Sure Fire X200 weapon light,
I just found out that there are two different X200 lights manufactured by Sure Fire, they are both labelled as the X200.
The X200A has a more focused beam, somewhat like a spotlight, and has a tremendous range as well as excellent beam. It projects a diamond-like beam. Excellent for all-around work, CQB as well as large areas.
The X200B has a broad beam, like a floodlight, it does not have a good range, however it is a wider beam. Good for close-up work.
The X200A has the scalloped bezel, whereas the X200B has a flat bezel.
Hope this helps anyone who is in the market for the X200.
