I know that this thread topic has probably been discussed in the past but since its not on the list, I'll bring it back up. Our department is in the process of phasing out the Motorola Astro-Saber from the state-wide system and implementing something new. Which brings me to the question, what do you guys use out there? Im seeing whats common to possibly make suggestions.

For us here at my unit we use the Motorola AStro xts5000rProfessionalism always, courtesy until it's time not to be. -
Right now we use the Motorola Astro XTS3000, but we're migrating to the XTS5000 this year.Comment

XTS5000 portables, STS5000s in the cars on a statewide digital trunked system. The car radios work fine for the most part, but until they get another tower or two in here, the portables SUCK.
The system itself is pretty cool though, what with the scanning and interoperability.Comment
