I am looking for affordable ear protection that will fit either in my ear or over th ear but inside the kevlar helmet. I can only find electronic devices that are way too costly for my budget. I am buying these for military service, I have already suffered damage to my left ear while on a prior engagement. I will soon be deploying again and I dont want to risk my hearing but I want to hear things around me. Any help is deeply appreciated.

How about those foam ear plugs?
I wear those all the time -
