Tactical Vests

I am hoping to become a police officer one day, but unfortunately I don't know alot about it (that's why I joined this forum) so I was just wondering for those of you who wear tactical vests, what vest you use and what kind of stuff you carry in it, and also the same for what kind of equipment you carry on your belt.

Do most police officers wear tactical vests?

No, just SWAT teams. When we talk about vests, we are usually discussing concealed body armor.

Oh? And do they have like places to put things? I really don't know this type of stuff, I knew SWAT teams used tac vests.
