What level of holster does your department require?

We're issued Level III (Safariland SSIII) holsters. I've never heard of an agency that doesn't issue its officers make specifications as to what holster is used save the fact that it has to be safe and can be used proficiently by the officer.

Get a Safariland Level III holster,no questions asked. Yeah, they are a pain to break in. But now that mine is broke in,the only holster I can draw from faster is my off duty Fobus holster.
If you stare into the abyss long enough, sometimes it stares back.

All officers assigned to patrol carry the Safariland SSIII. All plain clothes officers use a variety of level one holsters. Every officer is issued the SSIII to use if they are in uniform.
