  • Good drop leg holsters for cheap??

I'm taking suggestions. I use it when hiking and fishing as bear deterrent, so I'm not trying to be all tacticool or anything. It's just the best way to carry when I have a pack on my back. Needs to stay put and be comfortable, that's about my only criteria. I know Blackhawk and Safariland make good ones, but I'd rather not pay $100 or more.

Any suggestions on cheaper brands that would do the job just fine? It'll be carrying a 1911, if that matters.

Try eBay for a good holster for cheap. There's all types of Blackhawk and Safariland holsters on there all the time.

Thank you. I like the CQC Serpa if for no other reason I can still get into my pockets.

No extra mag pouch attached, though.

If price is all that matters, I'd look at the stuff not specifically marketed to police officers. Something like BudK or Cheaper Than Dirt.

Cheap and functional........ Definitely NOT tacticool.

          Holster

I use it for some training scenarios, etc.

Thanks. I was looking at that one, actually. Does it stay in place well? I'll probably be wearing it while trail running, so I can't have it bouncing or sliding around.

I like it fine. I like my Blackhawk platform better but for the price it's pretty good.

I found it for $12.95 on sale at Opticsplanet.com.

Figure for that price I can't really go wrong...lol.

Guess I'll find out. I do a big combo of walking, hiking, jogging, running...depending on what trail I'm on and how steep it is. I also usually wear a medium pack, and I like to be able to use the waist belt on that to support and distribute weight, which makes a normal waist holster a no-go. I'm just trying different combos to see what I can get to work the best and most comfortably.

I have never tried it but if you have your wait belt tight enough could u use a paddle or regular belt holster on the pac itself?

It's going to wobble so be prepared.

Do you have a pack with molle attachments?

Still can't beat 12 bucks though
