  • Stinger DS® LED HP Flashlight...

So I bought this flashlight not long ago...

    http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=172

I LOVE IT!! I've had a lot of flashlights in the past, some very bright ones including the Borealis Rolls Royce by black bear. None of them ever got comments from violators like I get with this one. the strobe function is especially cool.

Any of you guys out there have this light? What are your thoughts on it? Pros and cons?

I've been using my Fenix PD30 for pretty much everything...but I've been looking at the DS HP...you might have sold me on it.
Other officer: Oh that's right, I forgot, you're God's gift to police work.
Me: At least someone recognizes it.

Turns out basic police work isn't so hard, you just have to leave the station.

      Stinger DS® LED HP Flashlight...

I just have a regular Stinger LED, it is neither DS nor HP head. I have read some excellent reviews on it. I also like my Pelican 7060 pretty well. Check out Candle Power Forums http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/portal/index.php and you may find out way more about lights than you ever thought possible!

I have a DS LED Stinger as well as a LED HP Stinger and love them both. They get alternated when I'm at work and I use them around the house. Both lights are bright and easy to tuck in a pocket when you need your hands free.

Our agency replaced 4 old Stingers with the DS LED lights recently, I wasn't issued one since I work day shift most of the time, but definitely plan on purchasing my own. Between the 200 lumen output, longer running time on a charge and the strobe function all I can say is that this is an AWESOME light.

I've been trying to order one for weeks now but I can't find anyone that has them in stock.

              Try this: http://www.opticsplanet.net/streamli...ashlights.html

I think they still have them in stock. If so, PM me as I have a coupon code for 5% off that I will share with you. Also, no tax (at least for MD customers) and free shipping.

              ADDITION:
This is actually a better deal that I found, includes both AC and DC Charger and there are 3 left at least: http://cgi.ebay.com/STREAMLIGHT-7576...item5885e7abd0

I just wish they would switch to a lithium ion battery instead of sticking with the old Nicads. I understand wanting the lights to be compatible with old chargers, but Nicads suck.

Just received my Fenix TK12, in the mail! It is awesome! Used it on patrol the last few shifts and I could not believe the beam it throws out! I have not come across such a small light with that much output!

I've had this same light for about 2 months now, I love it. The strobe function is super effective. During some training awhile back I used it in a totally dark shoot house, works awesome.

That's funny because I ordered one from Opticsplanet about two weeks ago and they said it would ship this week - we'll see. If not, I'll go the eBay way. Thanks for the link!
