The paddle is removable. Take it off and run your belt through the loops on the holster. The only reason to use the paddle is if you need to put the gun on quickly.

haha, this is Maryland we don't get to conceal anything. I wish we did have better carry laws but I think it'll happen in time. At this point I'm not ruling anything out so I'll take a look at a couple pancake holsters.

You might just ditch it and go for a pancake holster. It'll wear tighter against your body thus more concealable if that's ever a concern.

it just looks and feels like it angles too far toward my body. I'll try the suggestion of on the outside of the pants but I may need to upgrade to a different holster. Any possible suggestions?

Usually the paddles goes into the pants, but you can try and put it on your duty belt, it may be more confortable this way.

Paddle goes inside the pants. The little tang on the paddle is to catch the hem so it must be deliberately manipulated to allow removal, i.e. for holster retention.

    started a topic Paddle Holster

    Paddle Holster

I am new to carrying my gun on me since A.) I'm from Maryland and we don't typically allow that, and B.) I just started a new job where I am required to carry my Glock 19. I purchased a Blackhawk Serpa level 2 holster and I have it set up on the paddle attachment. I have been carrying the gun for about three weeks now and it just doesn't feel comfortable on my hip. I have been wearing my tac pants, regular belt and then my duty belt with keepers. While the holster has been situated on top of my duty belt and regular belt with the paddle piece inside the pants. Is this the correct way to wear these or have I made a huge mistake? Thanks for your help.
