I am new to carrying my gun on me since A.) I'm from Maryland and we don't typically allow that, and B.) I just started a new job where I am required to carry my Glock 19. I purchased a Blackhawk Serpa level 2 holster and I have it set up on the paddle attachment. I have been carrying the gun for about three weeks now and it just doesn't feel comfortable on my hip. I have been wearing my tac pants, regular belt and then my duty belt with keepers. While the holster has been situated on top of my duty belt and regular belt with the paddle piece inside the pants. Is this the correct way to wear these or have I made a huge mistake? Thanks for your help.

You might just ditch it and go for a pancake holster. It'll wear tighter against your body thus more concealable if that's ever a concern.Comment

The paddle is removable. Take it off and run your belt through the loops on the holster. The only reason to use the paddle is if you need to put the gun on quickly.Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. -- Aldous Huxley
