I am buying all of my own equipment for the academy, and I want to know where you guys and gals get your equipment. The equipment I am looking to buy is an ASP, ASP holder, GLOCK 22 mag pouch, handcuffs, handcuff case.
Oh.... and what model S&W cuffs do you use.

I've bought two sets of handcuffs from them. I really like the push pin models. I also carry the standard 100 Model. I've heard the ASP cuffs are neat.

I've found www.cuffs4cops.com is the best place to buy Cuffs cheap and they will laser engrave them with your name and badge number for free.


I love my S&W "Model 1" Hinged handcuffs. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

They are hinged so easy to apply, are so slick when you slap them on they go all the way around and lock, and are 25% bigger/smaller so they fit people of all sizes. (They open so big in fact I have been able to use only them on large guys that have taken 2 sets of regular chained cuffs.)


Note: these are the Model 1 and not the Model 300 regular hinged.

With the S&W Model 1 Hinged cuffs I actually use a ASP open top carrier, since these cuffs are slightly bigger then normal.


For my 2nd pair of cuffs I use a strap style holder.



I like Safariland products, so their open top mag case is what I'd go with.


Do yourself a favor and leave your ASP where it belongs, on the store shelf.

LAPolicegear.com - is great with prices and have some nice free shipping options on certain brands they apply to your entire order. But if you need the gear quick its not the place to order from.. it takes a while (7-10) to get your gear.

Officerstore.com - is another good site I've ordered from. Reasonable prices, average shipping costs, pretty timely delivery. Although, sometimes what you pick may be backordered and you don't find out til you get the shipment, so if you order from them make sure to indicate in Special notes if its in stock or contact before hand.
