if your light was behind your pistol you would, unless youre stretch armstrong. thats the whole point. if you teach ppl to put their light behind their gun they have no choice but to grab it with thier gun hand which = stupid.

Anyone that advocates placing something directly behind your gun holster is a complete and utter jackass! I've NEVER had ANY instructor tell me to do that. As a matter of fact, we are/have been/and always will be told NOT to do that! You will tie up the gun, you will create issues with drawing and holstering, etc etc etc.

But I guess this Hindi guy (never heard of him) knows everything...

I can buy into the "try not to put stuff on your back." It makes sense to me.

But flashlight behind your gun? Umm, no.

    Bad advice.

Keeping your flashlight behind your gun is the worst advice I've ever heard. IMHO not to say that there aren't tons of guys who do it.

I am not an officer yet, but I have been training in martial arts so I decided I would get an early start on stuff like this. At first, it does seem like you would not be able to draw your firearm and light when you need them both. I never thought I could do it, so I moved my ring. After awhile, I decided to move it back. I started practicing with it behind my weapon, and now I can do it just like it was on my support side.

Hindi specifies where to put the flashlight? I didn't know that. Maybe I have a pre-flashlight version of the DVD.
He does not specifie this in the dvd, but I have talked to him numerous times on the phone. He states that the flashlight should be place directly behind the firearm seperated by a keeper.
