Contact mission support specialist for the OFO sector that you wish to transfer into. they handle the paperwork. as of now they are making all BPs go to the academy again. and I will tell you this, EVERY SINGLE patrol agent I know or know of through work that switched HATED their lives, and either came back or are trying. there was even a guy at my station that left for OFO, got his hometown OFO station, matching pay etc; what more could you ask for?

and he just left his hometown to come back to the dirty borders of south texas, which is giant downgrade in quality of living, but the OFO job was that bad

As was mine. ...didn't help that the other applicant who tested with me fell off his step (crashing into me) like two minutes in.

Poly is scheduled and right around the corner.

Okay, what about if I want to go the other way, OFO to USBP?

Where I did my medical it was a cluster as well. I wasn't impressed by it...if I fail because of that place, I will pay my own and go to the place I did my PT. That was a much cleaner and up to date office.

Have oral boards this coming Monday. Little nervous, but I think I should be fine.

Waited over an hour just to pass into the backroom. The equipment was broken. Took 3 hrs to do the medical portion alone.

I wouldn't sweat CASS too much. I have stuff completed that haven't shown up on there yet. As long as you get documentation and confirmation via emails, you should be good.

Passed Oral Boards on Monday. So now, wait...

                          • Hey so I'm sure this has been asked before, but I havent found it in the 20-something pages of this thread I've dug through. I applied for BP and OFO, and have recieved TSL's for both. On CASS, it states that my BI is "Not Applicable" for BP, but hasn't been started for OFO. I'm not sure how I should look at this. I'm a 10pt vet w/ a clearance, and current civilian FED, but not an LEO.

Anyone have any insight into this?

You still will have to do the BI. Mine said that too before I was contacted for the poly
