    • I got my tentative selection letter on 8/15/14. It said that a response isn't required. Does anyone know how long it takes now before I receive or hear anything else?

I do not recommend this job to anyone.
Must be nice. 2000 new hires. No pay cut on the board for them. Open lateral transfer to other stations a few months ago. Straight up overtime. Sounds like they're living the dream!!

The way the opm exit survey works is if you say you are changing jobs to another agency, it doesnt count as attrition but instead as leaving 'to advance your career' so not put in the attrition column. If you hate the job and take a local PD job to go home, it goes under 'leaving to be closer to home' or something, and isn't attrition.

That's how I'tse been explained to me. Us capitol police which has some of the worse attrition did a report and was happy to show their low numbers when that's not the reality. They released a huge report to the senate years ago and they itemize every employee that left and in that you can see how they don't count attrition departures. Don't have it on my phone.

That being said today was an awesome day in the patrol

                              • Has anyone heard of possible change to polygraph policy because of the high failure rate? I heard they are having difficulty filling classes becuase of this.
