Thanks. Judging for this and the packet info I probably misheard the directions.

check out honorfirst.com, i think they have the info on it.

you get AUO (25% of your base pay) for the 2 extra hours of work everyday (8+2=10), plus you get FLSA...which varies, i have no idea how they calculate it but i guess it would give you the rest of what would be real OT since AUO only covers straight time. i'm sure this makes no sense, but it's good pay regardless, plus there's night and sunday differential and chances to make real OT in certain locations.

We work 5 days a week, somewhere between 8 and 36 hours a day...

and we get paid a fair sum, allowing us to live a fairly modest living in most locations

The downside: those 36 hour days kill.

Just so you all know what you're getting into here. I worked 118 hours this pay period.

I'm pending my BI it's been like three months since i have heard anything or seen my CASS change... I heard that there are having Senior BP Agents do BI's in the city to speed up the process don't know if it's true though.

I worked less than 100 so it all depends...

What type of activity level do you guys have? How many apps a day/shift? Less than 100 hours is less than "less-than-likely" in this neck of the woods.

It seems that the 105-115 ballpark for hours in a PP is most common on my LES.

I'm sorry, I didn't cover it all in my first response. After the 10 hour day/ 5 days a week, the only amount of money that you get extra after 10 hours a day is FLSA, which amounted to about $9/hour for me. So in layman's terms...after the 10th hour of work you will get paid less than some high-end burger joints. There is little incentive to work more than 10 hours a day, except that you have to do it. Some places it will be more common, other places it won't....it depends where you end up and what shift you work.

Still...I would say that you make a very good living and there are many opportunities to do work in other areas...sort of like a big local police agency... and i mean that in a good way.

                              Good Luck all!!!

I'm going to guess that you aren't very happy in the patrol. I'd work 6 days a week if they would let me!
