I have a baby due in February 10-20 or so I hope I can move things around so I can be here in San Diego since its my first new born. Good luck to everyone hope to meet people here so I can have some friends at the academy.

And it matters why if they are agents? I asked a simple question, he/she doesnt have to respond if they dont want to. Unfortunately there are a select few on here that feel the need to chastize and flex their Internet Forum muscles every chance they get. Read this forum and others.....you can easily pick them out.

Maybe this question is best left for when I EOD and can ask a Journeyman agent.
That honor first link is a good source. Did you duty station contact you yet? I have so many questions for my duty station contact but they have not contacted me yet, nor do I have their number...

I have a question while in FLETC does anyone know if you can leave? Like on the weekend and return Sunday night? I have heard mized things "no you can't leave, even for holidays" and then I am just skeptical in general about this.
So does anyone know if you can leave the Academy, while you are there? Lets just say the weekend, not during the week.

Because the rest of the agents have left this thread, they want nothing to do with it and the its "all about me" applicants like yourself. I think there are 3 or 4 left that will post here. I've left several times and when the me generation leaves or gets weeded out of the process I come back. There's not much info here anymore, most of it is either wrong or its someone posting about what they saw posted on HF.

You were too lazy to read the vacancy announcement. That is a smart thing to do before you apply for a position on the other side of the country, don't you think? By the way, did anyone else respond to your question...

I hope you are right. I took the test the same day as you, and our timeline is pretty similar. It would be nice to hear from them in a few weeks.

I havent applied and probably dont plan too. I was just searching for information...that is what an internet forum can be used for right? I wasn't too lazy.....nice try.....I was working. I see you are obviously very busy with your nearly 2500 posts. Spare me the "me generation" speech, I'm probably older than you. I doubt the thread or other people searching for information about the Border Patrol would miss ya if you left again. Your responses are always so pleasant.

                    • Got the call today for the Tucson station. EOD 9/5. I'm so excited that I got Tucson..my head is still swimming because of all the things I don't have to worry about anymore. I was afraid that I would get one of the more remote stations and I'd have to either turn it down or deal with a loooong commute so that my kids can continue their athletic ventures.
I'll update the timeline in my sig as a reference but I'm pretty stoked on how fast this process went....although I'm secretly wishing it took longer so I had more time to get my house ready to sell

I'm in the academy now. We are issued boots here at the academy. Do not buy boots. They want everyone here to look uniform so we all have the exact same boots. See you soon.

Yes you can leave. If you are going over 100 miles away you must write a memo. Nights and weekends are yours, but you will be studying a lot at first.

                            • I just got an email from the personnel security specialist, saying my E-qip had been rejected, wanted me to update my employment history, my background was turned in on the april 17 and interviewed on the may 26, will this slow down my process?also still waiting on my drug and BI to clear!!! I guess do not put your hopes too high, and just live your life how you normally live, do not slow down because this !!!!! by the time our BI had been cleared, the spots will probably be filled already
