    • Hey guys just checked the CASS and my background is now completed all I have to do now is get cleared by a doctor for a medical issue I have an I should be in the clear...

I wanted to ask though I have been thinking about this for those of us living in California or new York etc.. where cost of living is much higher than Texas or az or nm. How does the pay structure work if you are living in one of those states as an agent compared to an agent in California?

My OB updated in CASS today, Thursday. Just shy of 2 weeks. Only 2 checkmarks to go!

I currently live in Cali and can say...Arizona cost of living > California cost of living. But...factor in your electricity bill being 400-500 a month for a couple months a year living in AZ. No AC = Death. The base salary on USA jobs is the same for all the annoucements (AZ, TX, NM, CA) at the moment. Not sure if they adjust for cost of living. I have seen a pay scale where it is adjusted but Im looking at the USAJobs annoucements to base that statement at the moment.

          • Hi everyone. I'm a first time user, can't remember all of my dates exactly but I took my written 08/30/2010 and am now in the BI stage. I called IA and they said my BI is "under review". Does anyone know if that means they found a problem they are reviewing or this is just the generic response for they are in process of performing BI?

I think thats pretty much standard protocol. It could just mean they are working on it.

Thanks for the help. That's what I figured. No use paying rent somewhere you won't be for like 6 months.

Exactly. Thats what I plan on doing. I should be out of the Academy in January sometime, so I'll start looking around in December.

There's a local pay differential and that's it. Not enough to offset the cost of living in San Diego vs Texas or Arizona or New Mexico.

                        • do i have to score 70% in each part (logical reasoning/language) or is it combined?

                          • You must score a 70 in each part. If you get less than a 70 in any section you fail. Good luck!

                              • Dorel was our third choice. Its on the southside, but barely. Good news, its on the eastern edge of the city, so not right smack downtown. Still an ok choice.
