Mine lasted 2 hours and we went over my SF-86 twice.

The best thing for you to do is to lurk around the pages on this thread and compare your time line with others'. You'll get an idea right away. I could see you received your NOR earlier than me and I have more steps completed than you. Then again, there are infinite factors for things like these to happen. Trust me, the people and MHC have very weird way to handle business lol! Patience is the key element for this. You'll learn to "hurry up and wait" as they call it. Good luck!

My timeline is in my signature. My timeline moves at an average pace at best. In my opinion it seems like yours slowed to a crawl. It will take months to meet your BI and months after that for your Background Investigation to clear Internal Affairs and about a month to receive the call and EOD.

Excuse my ignorance, but why to El Paso?

Yeah it really is. Im sure behind the scenes there is a method to the madness and it only seems screwy to us. As soon as my BI interview was done I had to pay for an independant psych eval, provide some additional medical...and it went really fast to TSU after that.

Edit: Best thing Ive done throughout the whole process is move on with my life. It will happen when it happens. Im having a hard time anticipating this phone call. I feel like a little kid waiting on a call to go to Disneyland.

                      • As far as I know, the CBP Hiring Center put my status "called to active duty" Since I have been home, I informed them that I am off active duty for now and would like to continue the process. They emailed me back that same day stating my file has been updated. My file is still 'in the security office" I wonder if they are checking for security clearance via my military clearance? Either way, I hope to hear something soon.

When I was setting up my medical exam a few months ago the scheduling office noticed I was still active duty and tried to tell me to wait until I was completely discharged to go any further in the process. I said no way to that. Why would I want to wait until I was out of a job to start a year long hiring process? Hope things go well for you.

Hopefully getting in to the Tucson sector. I am super excited on hearing good news.
