Did he start your BI prior to meeting with you?

Cool, I talked to my BI on last Thursday and set up a meeting on Wednesday. He didn’t mention anything about when he was starting my BI. I’ll ask him on Wednesday. Hopefully he already has mine started but who knows.

to even begin a background you must meet with him one on one to verify everything on your eqip takes about 2 to 4hrs ive done like 7 of them from various federal agencies since 2004. then he goes out and does his field interviews and verifies everything on your eqip once he is done he submits if no issues you should be cleared in 2 months the least to 8 months everyone is different but if you move allot or have had lots of jobs in the last 10 years its going to be a minute. it doesent end with the investigator your file goes to someone higher and your file may sit there for a couple of months not to mention theres not that much funding right now a background is about 5 to 8 gs just something to think about ive been in the process for CBPO since 2007 ive done about 3 backgrounds for both CBPO and BPA jointly they use the same one and i still havent been hired i finally made for BPA i graduate may 18 theres a new class coming at the end of the month thats all i know.

            • I need opinions please!! ASAP!!

Ok, so I completed my e-QIP two days ago. Now I'm just concerned about one particular issue. A few months ago I got a 30 day suspesion in my current job to avoid termination. The reason: I got 6 missouts (tardiness) due to family issues that have been resolved for the time being. I was given an opportunity to explain my situation in a formal hearing and they spared my life by letting me keep my job. They understood my family situation but the suspesion had to be executed in liue of my termination as per rules and policies within the company. My missouts have cleared now and can't be use against me anymore. The company understood my situation and have been very supportive. My family as well was supportive since I was feeling terrible to be disciplined this way for the first time in my entire life. I was just recently promoted to full-time status and things are going smooth.

When I applied back in September, I thought this process would be a walk in the park. Now this happens and I feel like I was trying to cross the border illegaly through Tijuana with an yellow safety vest on.

It's frustrating for me to have to explain this since my employment record has always been spotless, up until now. My criminal record, school records, credit history, drug usage, or anything you could think of is also immaculate. I am a happy family guy with a gorgeous wife (how humble!) and a beautiful baby-girl. Not a church goer but peacefully loves to watch the game on Sundays. I'm not a thug' but I'm not the perfect dude either. Do you guys think this will hurt a lot? Any input, opinion, or joke would be highly appreciated.

If you explain it to the BI just like you did here, my opinion is it won't be a problem. Just be honest and you'll be fine. If you lie and get caught, you are done.

                Good luck!

You have a higher chance of getting shot at if you have zero situational awareness. Injuries depends on your level of physical fitness, common sense, and athletic ability. If you work in Arizona, you will most likely get some kind of minor injury, IF you actually leave your truck and work. I personally do not think race/gender plays much part in it. If someone hates you because you are a BPA then it won't matter what race you are. I know a few squared away females who can shoot, track, and generally kick ***. I also know more than a few male agents who are fat, lazy, and have no right carrying a firearm.
