Is it similar to the practice Spanish Test questions in the study guide for the written ? I am not a native speaker, but I have had 2 years of Spanish in H.S. and 1 year in college. I also have done the 400+ words from HonorFirst.com and have been reading 501 Spanish Verbs for the past 6 months. Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Good Luck with your Spanish Classes and Congratulations on completing the Academy.
Do you feel that you would be albe to conduct a 30-45 minute video taped sworn statement with a material witness or principal, in the Spanish language? If not, you should get all the practice you can.

        • Like I mentioned previously since I switched to the N.Border my process has been going pretty fast. I got my medical/fitness on the 26th and I had my oral board scheduled for Sep. 17th. Due to a military obligation I had to reschedule my O.B. Has anyone else had to reschedule there O.B.? If so how long did it take to get another date? The lady who I talked to said they did not have any dates forecasted into October how often do they add board dates?

The Spanish test was difficult for me because I didn't have any Spanish language training. If you had 2 yrs HS Spanish and 1 year college, it probably won't be enough unless you can verbally communicate at a high level. The verbal communication is the key to passing the test. It doesn't hurt to study, because if you don't pass the test, end up graduating and subsequently entering the Spanish program, you will be ahead of the game.

            Good luck to you.

              • For anyone who had a "Not Medically Cleared" letter, how long did it take you to get results after you sent in the medical documentation they requested? I am going on close to a month, and I verified they got everything needed, but I am still missing that check mark.
                Thanks.

I was asked for additional documents concerning my medical. I submitted everything and now sit at the 2 week mark. I called the medical processing unit and was told 2-6 weeks is the norm. Then CASS will be updated, which can sometimes be delayed beyond the 6 week mark. Not sure if that helps....

                    • I just had my medical/pt today and my ECG came back abnormal. Abnormal meaning a "probable old inferior infarction"...Anyone run into this? Should I wait or go to the cardiologist now? I'm all about being proactive....

                      Thanks in advance>>>>

I would wait. There are going to be specific tests that they will want your doctor to run, and your doctor will have to write a letter that answers dozens of questions that will be supplied to you in your non-clearance letter. It may not hurt to schedule an appointment now if your doctor is booked up in the near future.

                          Thanks for the input Sakic...

With my insurance, I don't need a referral to see a specialist so I called the Cardiologist, I can get in this week or 6 weeks out. I think i'm going in this week to tell the Doc what is going on, get his input and make him aware of the paper work that will follow. Maybe this will expedite things in the future. I need to make sure nothing is wrong with my heart anyway.

I did some research and the verbiage on the ECG eludes to the fact that I had a mild heart attack some time in the past. No way.....I'm 34 and never had any problems. It is possible but not probable.

                          • AK-Bear,

I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point, they just want to make sure your not a liability.

I was sent a letter asking for more medical documention for a dehydration episode I had 9 years while in the military. The military cleared me and I served 5 more years, was really nothing to be concerned about. I brought the letter to my Dr. and she typed up a letter stating everything appears fine and she doesn't feel as though that would be an issue for future employment.

She also mentioned that was the 2nd medical letter she had done that week, also for BP.

Stay positive. You'll get a letter sent priority mail stating what they want and a timeline to get it done within. Keep us posted.

Took about a month after I sent in the information they needed for the Not Medically Cleared letter.

That is good to hear. Maybe I'll get your Doc's number since she is well versed in the ways of BP medical paperwork! Ha! Will post when I have more info....
