Scrappydoo so I emailed them today and was told my medical and drug test are completed and clear. My background is on the 2nd stage with e.o.d and that my pft request was put in last week friday. I dont understand the part about the background on 2nd stage with e.o.d and also I already have a secret clearance I thought I would adjudicate faster but at least I got movement. Does anybody know what the 2nd stage with e.o.d means

I’m not sure? Maybe you have to do a Polygraph to finish out the BI?
-
nwall that wasn't in my initial task and I talked to the security sup he said my background was done basically and that they seen the clearance. One they other reps said that I may receive a e.o.d date and they will finish adjudicating me while I was in class but we will see. At least I got some more movement

DHUFF I really don't know as I didn't go through a formal background check with eqip or a investigator. After I did my pft I received a email stating everything was done and I'm ready to EOD. I am prior CBP so that may play a role in everything.

I was told by ICE mission support that there will be "NO" 2023 journeyman hirings only entry level. He didn't have a real reason on why this is happening. Also they weren't notified of the 6 week Dotp going away.

That DOTP going away was and is still rumors. They were talking about transitioning to an OJT program within each field office. I EOD with no DOTP scheduled until like a month after when they emailed me with a DOTP date. Laterals before me who EOD 3 months ago, had just gotten scheduled for the January class as well. Laterals who had EOD within the last 2 weeks or so, dont have a DOTP scheduled and were told rumors are either March or August DOTP class. FODs have the sole authority not to send you to DOTP and just have you OJT and get your badge and creds in house as am sure this route will vary by FO and FODs.
There are approx 10 laterals from OFO/BP in my field office and only 3 of us are scheduled for DOTP (Jan Class). We were also told only 4 DOTP classes are scheduled for 2023 and probably the reason why they are not hiring more laterals/Journeyman.

Did the ICE mission support mention when they were expecting to have the entry level postings?

UPCOMINGAGENTJ No I haven't heard any info on the next announcement.
Robert_212 you're probably right.

Scrappydoo I recently just did 2 prior eqips last one was with the bop. So ice used that one and no back ground investigator or poly.I am just waiting on my pft. I thought it would be faster than this tho how long did your whole process take. And UPCOMINGAGENTJ I haven't heard anything about that

So I received a final job offer call for this announcement with a follow up email on 10/28/2022. Currently waiting for the official EOD notice email with reporting instructions. I was told that I should receive it before December, but lets see, as of now I have not gotten that email yet.Last edited by edlc7; 11-28-2022, 07:40 PM.

Sheriff33 Honestly I have no clue, I did have to do a medical for sure and drug test. I was surprised when I got called too. I dont know this for sure, but I may have received a reciprocal from my last Poly within DHS. Again im not sure about this, its just a possibility.

Dalexander91 you might be correct but I just started working with bop and before that I was working for the DOD and have an active secret clearance in regards to the sf86. When I talked to the background investigator he said he seen all of that and my background has been completed. No poly and now I will be taking my pft thursday. He also told me they where rushing for to get that done so im assuming they are trying to rush to get me an eod.

Does anyone know, for street hires (non-FLEOs) - does your background investigation initiate BEFORE or AFTER the polygraph?"The only easy day was yesterday"

Have any of you applied for a medical waiver? How was the process? What are the chances of waivers getting approved?

Yes I’m currently in the process and it’s a pain in the ***. Be prepared to get many medical records and signed physicians letters completed by your doctor. The contractors who handle the receiving of these documents are clowns (contractors). This morning I found out that my documents were sat on for 2 weeks because the records “specialist” didn’t think I submitted everything…well, she would’ve known that had she actually done her job and looked at all of the email attachments I sent. This is all part of the game.

I'm in the process now from my eye test. My eye doctor had to send a letter along with that one test so as of now I'm just waiting to hear back, hopefully they're not doing me like you Dalexander91. Did you have to call or reach out to find out they were sitting on your paperwork??

Dalexander91 Kneeling test, 15 pushups, 5 minutes 16inch step test.
DHUFF Congrats. Let us know when you get the call. I just submitted 1 last piece of medical paperwork, now I'm waiting for my PFT to be scheduled.

Tentative offer received today. Looks like they opened the announcement to let more applicants in. I didn’t make the initial cutoff but a few weeks ago received an email stating they were opening the announcement to more applicants. Today I got a TO.
