Not feeling too confident lately. I had my info session in Dec 2020, TOL in May 2021, Cleared for class selection May 2022. Still no word. Just several emails on location preference.

Aih018 do you know if they are still trying to push female candidates through? I don’t think I’ve met another female in this process but I know they’re trying to get those numbers up.

Yes medical just got ported over to usajobs so it shows that for everyone. The only remaining classes this FY are July and August. RUMINT says the May and July classes were largely internal hires so August seems to be the really only real option left this FY. Large amount of people in the hiring pool that have been there for quite some time so I would settle in for another wait.

Was moved to the hiring pool. My task list still has medical as unfinished. Is this normal? Also when are the next academy classes?

How long does it take for a background to clear?

Negotiation didn’t go well. I heard a way to change your starting level after academy which I will try. I have military, combat, masters degree, but no law enforcement. Negotiation is possibly if current fed.

Your best bet is to email OSP-DUSM email. That is their security office in charge of personnel security. Background Investigators have absolutely nothing to do with EQIP. That is an entirely different process which is generated by the requesting agency (USMS) in your case. A background investigator will eventually be assigned to your case long after you submit the SF 86 through EQIP.
