Anyone know how long it takes to be placed into the hiring pool after passing medical and background? -
Just some random information. LEAP has been approved across the board and already taken effect for those who were GL5/7/9 0082. As far as from now on, I would assume the agency will stick to their guns and trainees will be receiving their LEAP the day of/after graduation.

Your flights are paid for, you get a paid, and limited per diem rate, nothing to get excited about. No leap. -
Could anyone advise on what, in a background investigation (security clearance) would be grounds for disqualification. Possibly through your experience. I don’t mean obvious things such as drug use, major credit debt, criminal history, etc. Stuff beyond that, that might be red flags….Leave a comment:

I took my initial medical evaluation in December 2022 and it took me reaching out from February until April to find out I had to do a follow up. After that I reached out every couple of weeks to a month until July 2023.i then learned I had been cleared at the end of June. Definitely send emails along for updates about monthly. I got impatient and only waited 2 weeks through June and early July. -
That wouldn't have gotten lost from the investigator to DCSA, atleast not the ROI. What might have happened is during the period where the investigator shipped off the documents (notes, sf questionnaire, etc) to the office, the mail service lost it.
Shouldn't affect the adjudication process. The ROI is typed up and electronically sent to DCSA. I'm hoping USMS isn't in the situation where they are ordering physical copies of the BIs from DCSA for them to look at on their end.
All of this should be more or less electronic at this point.
