do they actually send you an email letting you know you are in the "hiring pool" or is it just assumed? ive completed medical and BI but when i got cleared from medical they just said "someone from the hiring branch will reach out with next steps"

Same. They didn’t make a fuss at medical. I printed my medical history from the va website. There was nothing there.

For the background investigation, do you just have to fill out the SF-86 or is there other background documents as well?

Is anyone else just stuck waiting on Medical? Emailed HRD but it's been over 90 days background cleared just waiting on the medical portion.

I was told I was medically cleared in February. My BI investigator told me that I should check back for my BI status in the end of March or mid April.

Stuck on doing medical or having it cleared? I did mine before thanksgiving and it still has not cleared I reached out two weeks ago and they said no update. I also had to email to find out if I cleared backgrounds which I did with no notification.

Polar opposite here. I cleared my medical almost 2 months ago and still haven’t been contacted by a BI or gotten an Eqip email. I was told I was in queue about a month and a half ago but I’m going to check in again.!

I was just told the USMS does not plan to hold anymore sessions this calendar year at any recruiting station. But that is subject to change
