It's all about timing. I emailed the recruiting email for the PHX office. Literally an hour later, I got a phone call to see if I was available to attend the next day.

Reach out to other districts as well to attend an info session. I attended mine earlier this year in San Diego, about half the group flew in or had to travel from other places to attend.

PHX Q1 Information Session. Medical appointments next week, received my e-qip, and submitted it.

Not getting my hopes up, but the process seems to be going smoother than anticipated…

I got the email to schedule my medical app today. Am I just suppose to reply back by answering questions 1&2, then wait for a location and date?

Ok they sent me forms and stuff yesterday and I responded but didn’t hear back Henyo

They sent me some medical forms in pdf and word formats …
Some appear to be revised some say 2021 and the others 2022

The forms were all jacked up. I am not going to bother with them until they send me an appointment.

Just fill out one of them to the best of your ability and bring it with you. They gave me the correct one at my appointment to fill out

When I did it I had to like save the pdf to my desktop first and then open it in order to get it to format correctly or something along those lines. It took a lot of messing around with it though.

e-QIP email. I see some received their e-QIP prior to the medical or at the same time!

For those of you who did medical and have a va disability rating. Is it mandatory to submit your va disability forms if you DID NOT claim the disability preference during the application phase?

If you didn't claim it during your application then you don't need to send any forms. It's only mandatory if you are compensated.

Medical Appts. will be completed tomorrow and just got the eQip email to update / submit fingerprints.

It’s a slow process but it’s moving nonetheless

Received medical email 11/17/22, responded and haven’t heard back from them. Guess I’ll just wait til after the holidays .. I don’t understand this process. There’s Zero communication.

That's normal. Around the holidays things slow down in the feds. People take leave, go on vacation things like that. After New year's it's back to business for the most part.

Typically, if you don't weasel your way in just right before the holidays, you're going to be waiting awhile. Just like the above poster implied, you're looking at people taking leave etc. And when they come back, the ones who slipped in right before the holiday periods will take priority. Frustrating to say the least but hang in there.
