Does anyone know the pecking order among agencies when it comes down the paperwork/desk job to in the field doing hits/raids ratio?

I've heard that DEA and HSI are similar and do their own hits. But I have also heard that agencies like the marshal service exclusively do raids and the DEA/HSI are stuck doing paperwork and task force officers are doing the raids/warrants

I am just trying to figure out what is real and what is inner-agency crap talking. And also what the deskjob to action ratio is.

    Anybody have any insights?

Also, if you didn’t receive your TOL within three months after your interview, they instructed you to email them with your date of interview and location.

Ser Oly, I interviewed in mid-May in Arlington, Va. You need to be pressing/pushing them to show that you’re still interested. I think a lot of people become lost in the weeds because they go silent. I would send a follow up email ASAP.

That’s generous, I’d bug them every week if I were in.m his shoes. And calling on top of that

Atosh, when and where did you pass your interview? I'm going on 11 months since I took and passed mine and I still haven't received a TOL.

Atosh medical took 90 days for them to reach out after TOL for me.
calbraz sorry brother that sounds horrible

I got my TOL on January 10 and yesterday I got the email to schedule the medical exam. 178 days since the TOL. My TOL said the same thing yours did.

The timelines mean nothing with USMS. Just move on with your life and play the waiting game with USMS. You’ll eventually get the FO but years from now, haha. Nah, but stay with it and maybe by December 2024.

Received my TOL earlier this week. Did everyone else’s email from HR state that the Medical Programs Office would reach out within 30 days of acceptance of TOL to conduct medical? Also, did the email state that the background would commence within 90 days?

Nah. Not yet. I heard reliable chatter of additional pre-employment rollouts for the August academy.

I think the first wave of offers got sent last week. Then you have to add in the variables of people failing the FIT, medical issues, or other barring circumstances.

Then you have to consider the guys who get an undesirable district upon FOL who just completely withdrawal.

I think there will be straggler emails until the beginning of August. So i’d stay ready.

can't speak to the exact dates but I know the months are correct. The intent is to run a class every 2 months from Nov-July.

Is it safe to assume that the August class is now full?
